About me
Utilising her studies in Health Science Naturopathy, botanical folk medicine, and years working as a market gardener, Portia grows, harvests, dries, crafts, and bottles all herbal remedies from scratch, from farm to medicine shelf. The farm works in collaboration with Muddy Creek Gardens, an organic market garden growing vegetables for the local community.
Herbarian Agrarian blends traditional herbal medicine and ecological farming practices to connect human health back to holistic and cyclical ways. Holistic medicine considers not only the symptom, but the broader parts, systems, and things that are constantly in relationship with the whole.
The word “Herbarian” comes from an archaic word meaning Herbalist, chosen in reverence to the old ways of medicine practices that empower the healer within oneself while strengthening our innate connection to Mother Nature and all things.
